France is 'captivating' Britons

28 August 2007

Overseas investors have been encouraged to consider entering the French property market.

Cheapflights.co.uk stated that many Britons had been "captivated" by the south of the country in particular.

The popularity of the region was attributed to numerous factors such as its "excellent" beaches and its close proximity to Italy.

In addition, the Cote d'Azure and Dordogne were highlighted as potentially good investment locations, especially for those who were planning to relocate to the country.

Meanwhile, those who wanted to continue working in the UK were advised to consider purchasing properties in places such as Britanny.

"A house in north-western France gives the opportunity to commute to the UK," said Cheapflights.co.uk.

However, the firm recommended that investors choose locations that were easily accessible from the UK.

According to Propertyline, France remains one of the most popular investment options among UK buyers, alongside other established markets such as Spain and Italy.
