Property investors still looking for bargains in France

The organisers of the French Property Exhibition, being held at Olympia, London, from 11 - 13 September are confident of another successful show due to the reaction to a similar event in Harrogate earlier this year.
Archant Life France found that despite the challenging economic climate, there was a distinctly positive feeling among visitors to the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate which proved there is still a great deal of interest in buying a property in France.
Editor of French Property News, Karen Tait said: “Many French properties have come down in price significantly over recent months, more than outweighing any exchange rate difficulties.
“There are some real bargains out there for anyone house hunting in France at the moment. And as the pound starts to rally against the euro, French property can only represent even better value.
“Canny buyers are also taking advantage of low rates for French mortgages and are much more clued up with regards to getting the best currency deals these days. The French property exhibitions are the ideal place for anyone looking for a property across the Channel, whether at the research stage or ready to book an exciting viewing trip.”
The London exhibition will bring together estate agents based both in France and the UK as well as specialists who can offer advice on French law, finance and building matters. The French property exhibitions has been running for 20 years and show organiser David Storrar said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming exhibitors, new and old, to London and expect to yet again provide a quality audience for them.”
